Ice & Snow

According to Weather.com, Louisville got 6 inches of snow & 1/2 to 3/4 inches of ice.

Glenn's toys - no truck or bike riding for him for a while!
The gate. I think it looks neat with the ice wrapped all around it.

Our Weeping-something/Bradford Pear tree in the front yard. (Why would someone splice two such different trees together???)

And now, for the fun Glenn had!

Glenn loved helping his Daddy clean off the Pilot so that he can hopefully get in it in the morning to go to work.

Icicles don't work all that well...

... but the scraper/brush does!

Potty Training

Don't worry. No "after" shots follow...

Glenn has, however, made great strides in this and has decided to stay on his potty until he's done. I walked down the hall to check on him & found that he'd scooted the potty to the doorway and was playing with a toy that was in the hall. By the time I got the camera, he'd thrown the toy down. Scott said, "Give him a book or something." So, I did and he started reading it! There really was minimal "staging" done for these pictures.

I had to grab Glenn & hold him still for this one, but if I have pics of Sean & Mommy, I have to have Glenn & Mommy, too!

Baptism

I detest this picture of myself, but Sean looks so cute & I have so few of me with one or both of my boys, so here it is... Funny how my face is all fuzzy, but Sean's seems to be clear. Sunday was a day of several (6!!) baptisms, and Sean was first. Rev. Kathy was great with all of the kids, and Sean just loves to be held by her.

I like that Rev. Kathy continued the practice of walking the Baptizees (I know that isn't a real word) around for the entire congregation to see. She did this with each of the babies/toddlers. It was a looong service, but very nice.

Random stuff

For the last 3 years, Glenn has made "art" for both sets of his grandparents as their Christmas present from him, and I always try to take a picture of the mess he makes of himself in the process.

This year's mess was relatively small.
After painting & cleaning up, Glenn snuck the toilet paper out of the bathroom & had it strung down the hall & into the living room. When I tried to take a picture, he jumped in front of the camera to cover up the pile o' paper.
Just a cute shot of Sean sleeping.
Glenn started running a fever in the evening of 12/23, so I took him to the doctor on Christmas Eve. Soon after we got home from that visit, he fell asleep while drinking the doctor-recommended Sprite... He's back to feeling fantastic now, thankfully.
Everything old is new again?
Scott got this "play station" down from the attic & put it together to see how Sean handles it. Glenn had to try it out - surely he doesn't remember that he once played in it.

As you can see, he's much to big for it now...

...and Sean isn't quite big enough. Yet.

Christmas Day

This was the first Christmas that Glenn really got into opening his presents. (I should note that Sean got presents, too, but Glenn opened them and they weren't very exciting - clothes & pj's.)

Cars He really was happier about the cars than he looks here, honest.

We celebrated on Christmas Day with my side of the family.

Present time! Sean sort of assisted in opening his.
Doug, Becky & the girls got an English Bulldog puppy for Christmas. Glenn was quite interested in her.

Glenn got this great play tool set & work bench from Nanny & Pawpaw. Daddy had to put it together as soon as we got home.

Another great Christmas!!
