A Sad Day...

Our most loved Caesar died yesterday and I miss him terribly. He was a wonderful friend, companion, guard and playmate for me and the boys.

Rest in peace, my sweet friend.

Catching Up - 4th of July

Scott always runs the 10k race in Lexington on July 4, so this year (as is also usually the case) we stayed at Granna & Pada's house on the night of July 3. Using the term "fireworks" very loosely, we let the boys enjoy a little bit of a show. Sean was inside, enjoying the show with Granna & Maggie (the dog.)
Most of these photos explain themselves.

Talk to the hand.

I just love this picture. Not sure what he was watching, but I'm sure it was Scott or Ethan doing something marginally unsafe.

July 4, after Scott finished the race
Glenn, running his own race with Simon (and coming in second. Simon is FAST.)

First pony ride. Not looking so sure about this...
I couldn't let go of him for a second, but he said (after) that it was fun.

State Fair Friday (8/30)

On Friday, 8/29, Scott took off work and all went to the State Fair. Glenn was very excited about seeing all of the animals... then, when we got there, he wanted nothing to do with any of them. Except the puppies in the show ring. (However, when we went back through, while waiting for the midway to open, he did pet some pigs & sheep.)
Glenn had to get on the bus at least 4 times, regardless of the fact that it wasn't going to go anywhere. This is Glenn's first ride on a roller coaster. The video below is his second ride, but it's still his first coaster. He was so excited! He's also a fan of the bumper boats.

A great time was had by all! (Well, almost all ... I think Sean was a bit disappointed that he wasn't allowed to run amok, too.)

Sean - 11 Months

I'm so far behind on posting pictures, it's just not funny. I'll get around to them soon. I hope.

These pretty much explain themselves...
Sean's walking now - lurches around like an inebriated duck, but he's walking several steps at a time.

Learning to walk

Sean's been using a "walking toy" here at home, but when we went to play with Jenny & Sadie on Thursday, Sean discovered Sadie's tricycle. Perfect for walking practice!!

I should also point out that the sweet boy turned 10 months old on this day.

Naughty Boy & Piano Men

Continuing the fine tradition of piano playing...

Sean is completely obsessed with playing in Caesar's water dish. I cannot figure out how to keep Sean away, while still allowing Caesar access... anyone with any ideas that don't involve locking the dog in the kitchen, please let me know!!
Fortunately, I raised Caesar to not care if someone is around him while he's eating...

Day Out With Thomas

Scott took Glenn to the Kentucky Railway Museum on the 6th to see "Thomas". Since I was not there, I know next to nothing about these pictures, but I'll give you the basics.

Leggos! Lots and lots...

and LOTS of Leggos!
I'm gonna say Glenn's doing a thinking pose on the giant Leggo Thomas, and not picking his nose. Yeah. That's it.
Making his wish-list already, no doubt.
Look at that face! So sweet!!
I think this is an old steam engine. A real one.
Playing in one of the tents. This place was the cause of not one, but two melt-downs. Glenn didn't want to leave the massive amounts of trains on tracks. Not even to go ride on Thomas, and certainly not to come back home.

It's Thomas!!!! Scott said Glenn heard the whistle, saw Thomas, and took off running.

Daddy & Glenn. Sorta

Glenn wouldn't smile, so Scott said, "Show me the mad face."

Glenn's souvenir
Had to stop at the Thomas crossing on the way out.
Glenn & Scott had a great morning together!!
