We had a busy weekend! Well, sort of.
Friday we drove to Scott's hometown of Winchester, KY & stayed with his parents (Granna & Pada) so that Scott could run a race at the Pioneer Festival on Saturday morning. At the start line, we met up with Scott's sister, Tina, and the men in her life - hubby, Ted, and sons Ethan (13) and Simon (almost 3 months).
It was a LOT cooler on Saturday morning than it had been in months, so I was totally unprepared with warm clothes... fortunately I had a couple of warm blankets to wrap him up in while we waited for the runners to cross the finish line.
Then Scott's Aunt showed up with a jacket for Simon, which I promptly hijacked, (Simon didn't need it because Tina was prepared) and Glenn was much more comfortable. Don't worry, tho. Simon still got a jacket - we traded when we got back to the house, where there was another jacket waiting for Glenn.
Ethan walked a few laps on the sidewalk with Simon while waiting for his Mom to finish the race, too.
Scott finished the race in about 22 minutes, his best time for a 5K, and got 2nd place in his age group!
Then it was back to Granna & Pada's house for some family fun time.
Simon is
not a fan of the Bumbo...
... he prefers to stand, with the assistance of Momma.
Pada gets down & goofy with Glenn
And, finally, Glenn spent some much needed chill out time with Pada.
Then we headed home, for a day of rest before our adventures on Monday...
